At our Bochum Conference 2023, a wide range of topics – some of them in parallel panels – looked at economic as well as sociological and legal aspects of gambling and its regulation, and international voices were heard in the lecture and discussion format in addition to German-speaking ones. It was our concern to enrich the German-language discourse with central findings of international gambling research and thus to provide impulses for the future social, scientific and especially political discourse on gambling and its regulation. We thank all speakers and guests and look forward to seeing you again soon.
